Fallen Angel Ep. 1 (Pt3) My review for all three of this great series!
This series is really one that provokes a person to think, and maybe even to change a little. Who knows if the world will end like this? All I know is, it is a great addition to newgrounds. The animation, though still keeping its ties to the Flash Art of Newgrounds, is just about flawless, and shows great creativity and drawing technique. The story line and usage of current events really does strike a chord with the viewer, especially in these times. And though some things are left to the imagination (why she killed the guards, how did others survive) to keep suspense and mystery, one still understands what is going on and why. The quality is great, and unheard of on Newgrounds! But this brings me to why I didn't score a perfect 10/10...
The quality of this piece, though amazing, was just too much for someone with the average laptop or computer. I missed the full effect in the majority of heavy action sequences, because my computer lagged the whole time. Even on this 4 month old laptop, I had to bust out low quality, pray to catch the good parts, and deal with getting pissed when I didn't. I can't say its all your fault though, because you were just trying to make this really badass, and you succeeded.
In this kind of a movie, I understand character development is hard, and you made a good crack at giving us as much details as possible while still keeping us wondering. Still, I would have tried harder to get us more familiar with the woman. It would have made us viewers feel even more gut-wrenchingly sad about her losses.
And lastly, I have to say one thing.... I know she's a total animated babe, and I know at least half of you internet guys agree. But seriously, when she's bleeding from the head after a car crash or crawling away from an explosion, I really don't want you to tear her jeans. Im not quite in the mood for you to show off her ass when a character is SEVERELY INJURED. Look, just save the hotness for a time when she doesn't have a bruised body and a bleeding forehead. I mean dude, I went to the site, and it even SHOWS OFF HER BUTT ON THE FRONT PAGE. You gotta cut that out, it's kind of creepy...
Overall, a wonderful animation. It was inspiring and frightening at the same time! I think It's a great addition to Newgrounds, and I hope I offered some constructive criticism in this review! It's good to see great talent in flash like you have! Hope to see more!
