Good work!

Shock-Dingo, you always seem to impress me with your voices. You have a wide range that you can access, and an impressive one. What I liked about this piece was exactly that; you have a seamless use of voices that really makes me feel like I'm hearing different people talk, not just the same person, and thats a very good ability to have.

The other thing I applaud you on is the mixing. You were spot on with the sound effects and music cues and it really adds to the shine of a voice acting piece.

The only reason I gave you some stars off was because... well... half the time you can't really tell what in god's name is going on. It kinda jumps around a lot, and I know you meant for that crazy random energy in this piece, but it was a bit too much.

Overall, great voices, acting, and mixing. :) The writing, pacing, and storyline were kind of off for me, but still a good production!

I hope you do well in the contest! :)

Shock-Dingo responds:

Greetings, thanks for the kind and fair review. I'm glad you focused on the story's imperfections. While I had a lot of fun with this, in retospect, I fear that I tried to do too much and as a result it got a bit confusing. I actually had to revise my script and go with this one. The original had more focus on the snowman fight, but it caused the length to almost double. I figured this would be better.

Next time (if I ever revisit this project and characters) I'll work on making the writing tighter.

Thanks once again for the review man. I appreciate it! Best of luck with things! :)

Damnit Peter....

You know, my piece USED to be the only other classical piece in the horror contest.
And now YOU come along. THANKS PETER. I USED to have a chance at winning the damn contest. NOW I'M GONNA GO CRY.

Seriously though, good song. Very nice use of effects. And it actually IS scary, unlike a lot of the songs in the competition. I'm going to go read this nursery rhyme, because little boys coming for me in the night do actually sound quite scary. Nursery rhymes are fucked up, man.

EvilRaccoon responds:

Sorry AudioVision (cool name btw! )

Yeah, there are alot of ambient tracks already which is great but I really wanted to try and do something a little more aggressive. Thanks again for the score.

Hmm

Gee loriziell, that doesn't surprise me, because the Phantom of the Opera's main theme is based on Tocatta et Fugue :/

Also, this song rocks my socks, therefore i give it a nine.

Bezo responds:

I blame the fact that there's a pipe organ. People tend to lump all pipe organ music together.

It's nicely arranged, but...

Dude you gotta stop using garageband loops as your songs. Sure, they're free to use, but in the end, you really didn't do anything but arrange somebody else's music in a different way.

Very Nice.

Nice job guys. You dun done it again. Very nice instrumental organization, and I APPLAUD you. If I ever dress up in blue overalls and a red shirt, i know what I'm head bobbing to.

Oh BTW, do you guys remember me? I totally made a music video for you!

giftedbuttwisted responds:

Thanks! And yeah I think I remember the video, it was the Somewhere Over The Rainbow one right?

Quite delicious.

Very good work for the genre. I can see myself downloading this and streetracing in my over-modded Ricer. Shoulda put more waffles in there though. Damn I love waffles.... but no pankcakes because pancakes are just the lazy man's waffle.

DigitalPulse responds:

Pancakes are the best! But waffles are good too :)

Thanks for the review,

Digital Pulse

i wish

I wish that I could rape you until you died.

You're so lazy, you don't deserve any more stars.

Okay, one song made completely of pre-fabricated loops is OK. But all of your songs are just pre-made loops from garageband. Knock it off, and stop being lazy. To anyone reading, I urge you not to give his submissions any stars. He has entered 3 submissions entirely made of pre-made music loops. This particular submission is extremely lazy, and it ticks me off. He isn't working at all, he's just passing off things he didn't make as his own ideas. You jerk.

Not cool, dude.

Your songs are all recycled loops from a program called Garageband. You shouldn't pass off pre-made loops as your own work. Really, it's kind of annoying. For anyone reading, he hasn't made anything in this song or any of his others, he just strung together short loops from a music program. Why can't you come up with your own material? Seriously...

Good arrangemen, but other than that, you did nada

You arranged the loops well and made it sound good, but you didn't invent ANYTHING. I was making songs like this when I first got Garageband too. To make a real song, you have to combine pre-made loops with things you make yourself. I give you five stars because it sounds good, but I don't give five because you didn't technically make anything in this song. You just strung together loops from a program.

I will blow your mind with my sweet tuneage.
